Russia Expands Entry Ban to Include Five British Nationals Over UK Support for Ukraine
The Russian Foreign Ministry said the decision was taken in response to what it called “provocative” rhetoric from UK officials, the spread of false or misleading information about Russia, and Britain’s military assistance to Ukraine.
According to reports, Moscow accused the UK leadership of maintaining a sustained confrontational stance, arguing that British officials have engaged in hostile messaging and have contributed to supplying Ukraine with weapons and military equipment.
The individuals named in the latest ban reportedly include journalists, analysts, and business figures, whom Russia accused of spreading misinformation about its domestic and foreign policy and supporting increased pressure on Moscow.
Officials also alleged that some British companies involved in recruitment efforts connected to Ukraine were supporting the Ukrainian government, according to reports.
Russia urged the UK to reverse what it described as hostile policies and warned that additional restrictive measures could follow if tensions continue to escalate.
